My mom has been complaining that she's tired of looking at Simon eating a peep. She's also complaining that she doesn't have any recent photographs to use as her background for work. Well, I don't want to be one to disappoint, so here you are:

That Time of Year Again

I know, it's been forever. But I've been busy and just haven't been inspired by this blog.

This weekend, Simon had his very first peep. Also, his second and third peep.


Casey also had her first peep:


Don't worry! I didn't actually let Casey eat the peep. Give me some credit!

In related news, the Washington Post held its first ever peep diorama contest. I very much wanted to enter, but could not come up with a good idea in time. The good news is that I have an entire year to figure out what to do for their next competition. Please let me know if you have any inspired ideas to share.

What is this? AN UPDATE!!?????


I took Simon and Casey to the park today and tried to take some pictures in the hopes that I can get a decent one and send out my Christmas cards. No such luck. Simon spent the majority of the time whining and pasting himself to my leg. If he was more than two inches away from me, much crying would ensue. Don't be surprised if this shot ends up being what you see in your Christmas card. This is pretty much the only picture I got where he wasn't attached to me. Sigh.

Blog Silence

There have been several items I wanted to blog about this week, but I've been way too busy to get around to it. I wanted to blog about the baseball playoffs. I wanted to blog about the pest exterminator who woke Simon up from his nap because he had the wrong house. I wanted to blog about the man soliciting security systems who only didn't wake Simon up because the pest control guy beat him to it.

But, the bottom line is, I never got around to any of those blogs. I've been busy sewing and planning. Pat's been busy too. And, now, the business is online and official. So, go check it out and maybe I'll have a chance to actually blog sometime soon.
